In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
